The Kho Kho Federation of India has appointed Salman Khan as the brand ambassador for the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup, held in New Delhi. As the tournament kicked off on January 13, 2025, the Sultan actor shared an exciting promo for the event on his Instagram stories.
In the video shared by Salman Khan, both the Indian men's and women's teams are seen playing with great enthusiasm as the crowd is seen cheering for them on from the stands. The actor’s voice can also be heard saying, “Jab world judega tab India udega, the world goes kho.”
India made a strong start by defeating Nepal in the opening match of the Kho Kho World Cup. Meanwhile, the Indian Women’s team also triumphed over South Korea in their tournament opener. The primary Kho Kho World Cup is set to take place from January 13 to 19, 2025.
Salman Khan’s fans are eagerly awaiting his next action-packed film, Sikandar, marking his return to the big screen after more than a year. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film features Rashmika Mandanna as the lead actress, alongside Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, Arjun Kapoor, Prateik Babbar, and others in pivotal roles. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar also marks the reunion of Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala after their 2014 blockbuster Kick.
The music for Sikandar is composed by Pritam, with Santhosh Narayanan handling the background score. Tirru serves as the cinematographer, while Vivek Harshan is responsible for the editing.
Sikandar is set to hit theatres worldwide on March 30, 2025, during Eid al-Fitr. Additionally, Salman Khan is currently hosting the latest season of the reality show Bigg Boss 18.
