Renowned filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has shared a heartwarming revelation about the generosity of leading actresses who worked with him on his films. The director revealed that Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and others slashed their fees to ensure that his films could be made without budget constraints.
Madhur Bhandarkar Recalls A Gesture of Support Recently, during a chat with Bollywood Hungama, Bhandarkar expressed his gratitude for the actresses' support, stating that their willingness to compromise on their fees played a crucial role in the success of his films like Fashion and Heroine. He stated, “They didn’t charge the market price from me because they were keen on making these movies. The entire film was resting on their shoulders so everybody slashed their prices.” A Collaborative Approach The director also highlighted the importance of collaboration and mutual respect in the film industry. He shared that he had never faced unnecessary demands from the actresses' entourages, emphasizing the professionalism and understanding displayed by all involved.
Plans for a Fashion Sequel Looking ahead, Bhandarkar revealed his plans to create a sequel to the critically acclaimed Fashion. He expressed his excitement about the potential for a multi-season series based on the rich material he has developed.
