Mahira Khan marries businessman Salim Karim; couple gets emotional during wedding ceremony, see video

Popular Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, considered one of that country's biggest stars and who made her Bollywood debut in the 2017 movie Raees, has tied the knot with her longtime businessman beau Salim Karim on September 30, 2023. The actress was in a relationship with Karim for a little over five years and kept it private. Reports state that the wedding was an intimate affair with families and close friends in attendance.

Taking to Instagram stories on Sunday night, Mahira Khan's manager Anushay Talha Khan shared two videos. One of them was Mahira walking down the aisle. The second one was the bride walking towards the groom who was in tears in the clip. Salim walked towards her to lift her long white veil. Mahira was visibly emotional as well as both of them hugged each other.

For her wedding ceremony, Mahira wore a beige pastel lehenga with an off-shoulder blouse and a white work veil. It seems like it was custom-made by Faraz Manan. She also opted for matching diamond jewellery for her forehead and as a necklace. Her husband, Salim wore a dark sherwani with a sky blue turban.

Salim Karim is the CEO of the Pakistani startup Simpaisa. Meanwhile, Mahira Khan was previously married to actor-producer Ali Askari with whom she shares a son.

On the work front, Mahira Khan was last seen in The Legend of Maula Jatt with Fawad Khan. The film is Pakistan’s most expensive film to date and went on to amass $13.8 million worldwide on 500 screens. In her next, she is working with Fawad again on his production Neelofar.
