Disha Patani, who took to social media, to celebrate seven years of her debut film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, shared another heartfelt post which she dedicated to her late co-star Sushant Singh Rajput. The film featured Disha in the role of Priyanka Jha and the actress shared her fond memory with the actor which was a beautiful and romantic scene from the cricket biopic based on the life of one of India’s most celebrated cricketers, Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

In the post, Disha Patani shared a scene where she confesses her love for Dhoni. For the unversed, her character was inspired by the first love of Dhoni’s life, who died in a road accident. Recalling the scene, the actress posted a heartwarming note for her co-star Sushant Singh Rajput saying, “Grateful for this beautiful journey and my first film in Hindi cinema???? Love wholeheartedly and cherish the ones who make you happy safe and heard?? life’s too short for regrets! We couldn’t say goodbye but i hope you’re happy and at peace????” Disha also took to her Instagram story to dedicate a post for the film wherein she had written, "7 years back where my journey started”.

MS Dhoni The Untold Story featured Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role with Kiara Advani essaying the role of Sakshi Dhoni, the cricketer’s wife. The film traced the journey of the former Indian captain since his childhood until he managed to get India a win at the 2011 World Cup. It released in 2016 and turned out to be one of the most successful film of the year.

As for Disha, the actress is currently working on the Suriya starrer Kanguva as well as the Prabhas, Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2928 AD.

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who was last seen in Bloody Daddy, recently opened up about his predicament on balancing genres after his debut. In a recent chat, he said that he fought to wear glasses in his blockbuster Jab We Met, which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan.

In an interview with Film Companion, Shahid said, “I fought with everybody. I was like, ‘I want to wear glasses for this,’ and everybody’s like, ‘Are you mad?’ Hero glasses thodi pehenta hai? Tu gaana kaise gayega? (Hero does not wear glasses, how will you sing?).”

Shahid explained it to the makers that he would remove his glasses during the song sequences. However, he'd get a response like, “Are you mad? This is a love story.”

The actor further said, “I felt like that will at least help people see me in a different way. Otherwise, I was always looking the same in every film of mine. And then I started making much bigger physical changes because it kind of empowered me to make more decisions. Like Kaminey was my first complete transition from what people were used to seeing me – usually clean-shaven and very boyish.”

On the work front, Shahid Kapoor has three films lined up in his pipeline. Gen V, the highly anticipated Amazon Original series, has released the orientation video welcoming the upcoming class to Godolkin University, that you can also find on the school's website. Diving directly into the world of Gen V, the orientation video shares welcome messages from Professor Brink (Clancy Brown), Dean Indira Shetty (Shelley Conn), and a few of the university's top ranked students to get new students ready for an unforgettable school year. In addition to the orientation video, new images from the series have also been released.

Set in the diabolical world of The Boys, Gen V expands the universe to Godolkin University, the prestigious superhero-only college where students train to be the next generation of heroes - preferably with lucrative endorsements. You know what happens when supes go bad, but not all superheroes start out corrupt. Beyond the typical college chaos of finding oneself and partying, these kids are facing explosive situations...literally. As the students vie for popularity and good grades, it’s clear that the stakes are much higher when super powers are involved. When the group of young supes discover that something bigger and sinister is going on at school, they're put to the test: will they be the heroes or the villains of their stories?

The series cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi. Gen V also features guest stars Clancy Brown and Jason Ritter, as well as appearances from Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne, reprising their roles from The Boys.

Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters serve as showrunners and executive producers. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Craig Rosenberg, Nelson Cragg, Zak Schwartz, Erica Rosbe, and Michaela Starr also serve as executive producers on the spinoff series. Serving as co-executive producers are Brant Englestein, Sarah Carbiener, Lisa Kussner, Gabriel Garcia, Aisha Porter-Christie, Judalina Neira, and Loreli Alanís. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu shuts down Salman Khan movie rumours; says, “Not having a plan”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who recently appeared in Shiva Nirvana's 'Kushi' and is currently taking a break from work to focus on her health and recover from Myositis, has addressed rumours about starring alongside Salman Khan in an upcoming Vishnuvardhan-directed film produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

During an Instagram chat session with her fans, Samantha shared her perspective on future projects. She stated, “My next project is to actually not have one. Not having a plan. I want to be more selective about the things that I work on. The things that really push me out of my comfort zone until I get a role like that, I think I am okay.” This response came after a fan inquired about her next project.

Earlier reports had suggested that Samantha Ruth Prabhu was set to star alongside Salman Khan in a Dharma Productions film. However, the actress has now clarified her intentions to be discerning when choosing future roles.

As for the work front, Samantha will be soon seen in Citadel India. It will showcase her skills in high-energy action sequences, alongside Varun Dhawan, who plays the male lead. Apart from Citadel, Samantha was recently seen in film Kushi, where she was paired opposite Vijay Deverakonda. The Telugu movie released on September 1 and was also be available in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. The film featured a stellar cast including Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar, and Saranya.
