Rakhi’s mother had reportedly been in critical condition while being treated in a Mumbai hospital for several days. The actress posted the heart-breaking news along with a moving letter for her mother on social media.   Rakhi had posted updates on her mother's health as well as images and videos of her mother taken when she was in the hospital. In numerous paparazzi recordings, the actor had also pleaded with viewers to pray for her mother's quick recovery. Rakhi’s mother had receiving medical care in a hospital in Mumbai. She shared a post on Instagram on Saturday confirming that her mother Jaya Sawant had passed away following treatment for a brain tumour and cancer. According to a statement Rakhi posted on her Instagram story, the funeral will be held on Sunday.  Rakhi posted a touching video on Instagram with her mother. Shaheer Sheikh rescues 16-month-old daughter, wheelchair-bound father-in-law and wife Ruchikaa Kapoor after fire breaks out in Andheri building

Last to last night was tough for the family of popular TV actor Shaheer Sheikh. For the unversed, on January 25, 2023, a massive fire broke out in the actor's building. Shaheer Sheikh's wife Ruchika Kapoor took to her verified social media handle and shared the details of the horrific incident. On a long note, Kapoor stated that she was at home with her 16-month-old daughter and parents and at around 1.30 am, she got a call that their building was on fire. However, after a lot of effort, the whole family was evacuated safely. Ruchikaa Kapoor thanked the firefighters and explained the incident in detail. She said that her father is wheelchair-bound while her daughter Anaya is just 16 months old. Given this, it was very difficult to get down the stairs from her 15th-floor apartment. Ruchikaa further added that Shaheer Sheikh and his brother-in-law along with firefighters came to rescue her. After a lot of effort, the whole family was evacuated till 5 in the morning. Selfiee also stars Emraan Hashmi, Nushratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty. Directed by Good Newwz fame Raj Mehta, the film will hit the theatres on February 24.

Emraan Hashmi reveals Selfiee co-star Akshay Kumar was a ‘farishta’ during his son’s cancer battle: “He was the first one to call and stand by me, our family”

Actors Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi were in attendance at the trailer launch of Selfiee on Sunday. While Kumar plays an actor in the movie, Hashmi plays an RTO officer who faces off against the superstar. Talking about his working experience with his co-star, Emraan recalled how Akshay stood by him and his family during his son’s cancer battle.

“I felt bad mouthing those lines. I’ve followed him as a fan, I’ve adored him. I’ve gotten the privilege of knowing him in the past few years. He was there for me when there was a health issue with my son. He was the first one to call and stand by me, stand by family, our family,” Emraan Hashmi said at the trailer launch.

“I didn’t know him well back then. A lot of people surround you in your good times but bure waqt mein joh farishtey aate hai (the angels who come to you in your tough times), that’s Akshay,” Emraan added.

Selfiee is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam-language comedy-drama Driving Licence, which originally starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The Hindi remake also stars Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha. It releases in theatres on February 24, 2023.

Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan remembered her Kedarnath co-star Sushant Singh Rajput in a memorable way on January 21. As fans, friends and family celebrated the birth anniversary of the late actor on Saturday, Sara spent quality time with kids at an NGO in memory of the actor.

 Sara Ali Khan took to Instagram to share a video of arranging a cake in the memory of Sushant Singh Rajput. She was seen surrounded by children who sang “Happy birthday Sushant”. Sharing the video, Sara said, “Happiest Birthday Sushant I know what making other people smile meant to you. And while you’re watching over all of us, up there next to the rising new moon, I hope we’ve made you smile today too. Shine on Jai Bholenath.”

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away in June 2020 at the age of 34. He was found dead in his apartment and his death sent shockwaves across the nation. Sara Ali Khan often remembers him in a fond way as she debuted opposite him in Kedarnath in 2018. The film was helmed by Abhishek Kapoor.

Nora Fatehi was always jealous of Jacqueline Fernandez, claims conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar: “Nora used to try calling me at least 10 times a day”

Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez have been in the headlines for almost a year for their alleged involvement with conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar who is in jail in Rs 200 crores extortion case. Both the actresses have been questioned by the Economic Offences Wings and Enforcement Directorate respectively. In a recent development, the EOW filed a supplementary chargesheet in connection to the case. Meanwhile, Sukesh claimed that Nora was always jealous of Jacqueline.

As reported by NDTV, Sukesh, in a press statement issued through his lawyers Anant Malik and AK Singh, claimed that Nora Fatehi was always brainwashing him against Jacqueline Fernandez and that she wanted him to leave her and date Nora. “Nora used to try calling me at least 10 times a day and if I don't answer the call, she used to keep on calling me,” Sukesh claimed.

“As I and Jacqueline were in a serious relationship, I started avoiding Nora, but she kept irritating me by calling and also, asking me to help Bobby (Nora's relative) in setting up a music production company, which I did. She also kept sending me multiple pictures of Hermes bags and jewellery that she wanted, which I obliged by giving her, which she was using to date. Ask her to produce one bill of Hermes bags that she has, she can never produce as she does not have, as the bags are worth more than Rs. 2 crores,” claimed Sukesh. He also claimed that her statements have changed in front of the ED and EOD.

Sukesh further said that he only had professional relationships with actors Nikki Tamboli and Chahat Khanna as they were supposed to act in his producer banner LS Film. “I had no romantic association as news alleged by them, as their statement before the Enforcement Directorate, nine months ago was completely different which can be seen by media to certain if I am lying. So this new statement was given by them before EOW is only to save their skin and to grab publicity in the media. I have no fear to agree with the truth, but this new story is very funny after 9 months. I appeal to the media to verify the ED chargesheet statement and now the new EOW chargesheet statement which will clearly show how these two Nikki and Chahath are lying,” he said.

“I have to this very minute maintained dignity and respect for all those women and I don't want to stoop down to this cheap level of putting out all the chats, and screenshots in the open which would expose the truth in open, and which will assassinate their characters, but if this circus goes on then I have face to show, as they know, what all they have spoken or have had knowledge about,” he added.

"The statement given by the so-called witness actresses in the supplement chargesheet filed by the EOW, I am sure everyone has perceptions after reading the statements published on media, but, I would also mention a few things in my press statement here which will show how the so-called witness actress have lied and abused the process of law,” Sukesh said in his press statement on Saturday.

Nora Fatehi recently filed a case of defamation against Jacqueline Fernandez for allegedly making “defamatory imputations against her due to malicious reasons.” Besides that, the actress and reality show judge also sued at least 15 media organizations for making defamatory comments against her.
