Aamir Khan has kick-started shooting for Laal Singh Chaddha. The actor, along with the team, recently traveled to start shooting for the next leg of the movie. Now, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have finished the shoot of a romantic song of the film in Chandigarh.

It was only recently that we, at Bollywood Hungama, reported that Akshay Kumar will be co-producing the remake of Bhaagamathie with Bhumi Pednekar and R Madhavan as the lead pair. However, Madhavan took to his Twitter to deny any association with the project. Just today, Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter to announce the same project, titled Durgavati.

The project stars Bhumi Pednekar in and as Durgavati, a scary thriller that is going to keep you at the edge of your seats. The film will go on floors mid-January, 2020 with Akshay Kumar’s A Cape Of Good Films and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series as the presenters. Durgavati will be produced by Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment and is being directed by Ashok G.

Akshay Kumar pilots the Housefull franchise, says producer Sajid Nadiadwala

“There would no Housefull series without Akshay Kumar,” says ultra-successful producer Sajid Nadiadwala whose films have a way of turning into goldmines effortlessly.

Housefull 4 was roundly condemned by many film critics. Nadiadwala kept quiet. Today, it is being  counted as not only one of the highest grossing  films of the year but also among the largest  moneyspinners of Akshay Kumar’s career.

Nadiadwala, in an informal conversation, explains  how much Akshay contributed to the gags and jokes. “He was constantly working on his character, improvising on his lines. He had a ball playing the  evil Bala. He was a hundred percent there. We cannot have a Housefull film without him. It’s impossible.”

The fifth part of the Housefull brand is already being planned. However, reports that the ever-ambitious  Nadiadwala plans to cast in Housefull 5 all the  actors from all the 4 films in the Housefull series is  just speculative.

“We are yet to script Housefull 5. We hope to crack  that soon. Only then will the casting be decided. But yes, Akshay Kumar and  Ritesh Deshmukh are the  core cast of Housefull and they will continue  as such,” says Nadiadwala.

Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar rescue a stuntman who got injured during Good Newwz song launch

Akshay Kumar has always tried to do his bit for the community of stuntmen. Two years after he launched an insurance scheme for Bollywood's stuntmen, the actor once again rushed to the aid of two stunt artistes who were recently injured. Bittoo and Hari Singh, members of senior action director Sham Kaushal's stunt team, were injured during the rehearsals for a song launch from Good Newwz in Chandigarh. Though Kumar was not present at the scene, the actor along with Karan Johar promptly arranged for an air ambulance to fly one of them down to Mumbai for necessary medical treatment.

Recounting the accident that occurred on Tuesday, Kaushal says, “The film’s production team wanted to do a rehearsal, for which I sent three members of my team. It was important to check if the wire work was smooth and performing the stunt was a safe proposition. As part of the stunt, two of them, Bittoo and Hari Singh, were attached to the winch machine and were performing stunts mid-air. But during the second round of rehearsals, the machine collapsed due to a technical malfunction and the boys had a freefall from a height of nearly 10-12 feet.”

When the on-ground production team rushed the two men to the nearest hospital, it was discovered that Bittoo had suffered a shock to his spine. “The other lad, who hails from Chandigarh, was discharged the next day," says Kaushal, adding that when word of Bittoo's injury reached Kumar, he made arrangements for him to be brought to Mumbai so that he could avail the best medical care. “Akshay paaji was at a shoot in Hyderabad but was keeping a constant check on the boys. On Friday, he and Karan’s team arranged for an air ambulance for Bittoo so that he could be flown down to Mumbai. He has now been advised 2 months of bed rest,” says Kaushal, adding that it was graceful of Kumar and Johar to stand by the community in their hour of need.

Dabangg 3 asked to remove visuals of sadhus dancing but CBFC unlikely to comply

Religious intolerance get a new definition this week as a fundamentalist organization has asked the  Central Board Of Film Certification to remove visuals of Sadhus dressed as gods dancing with Salman Khan to the sound of 'Hud Hud Dabangg'.

Says the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, “If the movie happens to be on the lines of what we have seen in the trailer, it is extremely shocking depiction of Hindu deities and sadhus and also goes at great lengths to humiliate and poke fun at the basic foundations of Sanatana Dharma.”

However, it is unlikely that the aforementioned  visuals will be removed from the film. A source close to Dabangg 3 says, “The song and its visuals have been cleared by the censor board. There is nothing scandalous or improper about Sadhus dancing. They do so quite often in real life. This is  one more example of niche religious organizations trying to gain publicity by fastening their fortunes to a huge franchise. There will be no compromise on  this issue.”

Sources say Prabhu Dheva who directs the film and has choreographed the song is trying to wrap his head around the controversy.

“During Ram Leela and Dussehra, there’s a tradition of folks dressed up as the Gods singing and dancing. How is this wrong?” wonders a source close to Prabhu Dheva.

The CBFC is unlikely to entertain the demand of the fundamentalists.

Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty to reunite for Golmaal 5!

Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty have managed to give the industry some of the best movies including Golmaal, Singham, and All The Best among the others. The duo has been one of the audiences’ favorites for all the right reasons and now, they’re all set to come back with the fifth instalment of one of the funniest franchises, Golmaal. They had promised during Golmaal Again’s promotions that they will not make the audiences wait for the fifth film as compared to the fourth one.

Looks like, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty are keeping their promise intact. The duo is all set to come back with Golmaal 5 that goes on floors next year. Dia Mirza joins Adrian Grenier in UN campaign; nominates Alia Bhatt from India

International celebrity Adrian Grenier started the campaign and Mirza is leading it in India with her word ONE. Of the strong belief that equality in all areas of life is the driver of economic, spiritual and sustainable growth, Mirza tattooed the word temporarily on her finger and shared a strong message on her social network. She has also nominated fellow actor Alia Bhatt to participate in the challenge by sharing the one word that she believes will encourage change. "ONE is the most complete word, it unites like none other. She further elaborated saying that, “‘ONE’ - a word that defines equality to me in every sense, economic, gender, spiritual and sustainable growth. Rohit Shetty speaks about Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan’s similar work pattern

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is known for his comic films like the Golmaal series and cop-drama films like Singham and Simmba has worked with several big stars in Bollywood. Among them, the actor has worked with Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn in more than one film.

Recently, while talking at a session at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Rohit Shetty spoke about the work pattern of Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn. Rohit Shetty has directed Ajay Devgn in several films including the Golmaal and Singham franchise. He worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Chennai Express and Dilwale.

“Their working pattern is the same. Both are very hard working. I have never seen a day when Shah Rukh or Ranveer (Singh) or Ajay come on set and say that they are tired. You will see them sitting in one corner and rehearsing their lines. Where they are today is because of the sincerity towards their work, and because they never took for granted the notion that they are stars,” Rohit Shetty said while talking about the working style of Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan.

He further said, “I have done so many films with Ajay, but even today when he has a long scene or a dramatic scene or an emotional scene, you will see him rehearsing with my assistant director. The same goes with Shah Rukh.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rohit Shetty is currently directing his upcoming film Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.

Imran Khan snapped with uncle Aamir Khan after a long time

Actor Imran Khan who made his debut with the Aamir Khan's production Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008) was recently spotted with his uncle at a suburban restaurant. The duo was attending a family celebration.

Imran Khan who was last seen in the film Katti Batti which released in 2015 has maintained a low profile ever since his marriage with Avantika hit a rough patch. Recently, Imran Khan's pictures from filmmaker Nikkhil Advani's party went viral on social media. The actor was seen in the company of celebrities like Dia Mirza, Aditi Rao Hydari, Nimrat Kaur, Homi Adajania and Diana Penty. While Imran has stayed away from movies lately, wife Avantika has taken to bartending. Imran and Avantika dated for 8-long years before tying the knot in 2011 and also share a 5-year-old daughter named Imara.

Avantika and Imran married each other in a fairy tale wedding back in 2011. They had registered their marriage on January 11 and hosted a reception at Taj Land's End Hotel in Mumbai.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan featured on French workbook for high school students, see photo

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan went global long back, but here's a new kind of manifestation to it! The beauty has now made it to a French workbook, which teaches English to high-school students through history and popular culture. She features on the cover of the 2019 edition of Fireworks Workbook features.

The workbook consists of a chapter called Nollywood and Bollywood, which has several questions on Aishwarya. Apart from her, Priyanka Chopra is also a part of the particular lesson. Aishwarya's film Devdas, Akshay Kumar's Padman and the iconic Taj Mahal feature on the workbook's cover as well, as seen in the photo.

Aishwarya was last seen in the 2018 film Fanney Khan, alongside Anil Kapoor. The film received lukewarm response, and we didn't see Aish on the big screen after that. However, she recently lent her voice for the Hindi version of Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil, for Angelina Jolie's character.

Aishwarya and Abhishek were reportedly going to be seen together in Anurag Kashyap's production Gulab Jamun, but film finally didn't take off.

Bigg Boss 13: Sidharth Shukla’s Balika Vadhu co-star claims that the actor misbehaved and touched her inappropriately

Bigg Boss 13 co-contestants Rashami Desai and Sidharth Shukla have been at loggerheads since day one. She said that a lot of her Balika Vadhu co-stars came in support of Sidharth after her statement, but she said that she was speaking for herself. The actress who played the role of Gehna in the serial said that Sidharth misbehaved with her and inappropriately touched her and that is the fact and not just allegations.

Sheetal also said that Sidharth does not like being told that he is wrong and he feels that he knows it all. She said that the day he starts respecting other's opinions, it will be better.
